The objective of localisation activities is to increase levels of localisation (measured as the value of vehicle sales ex-factory less all imported content). This objective will be delivered through the prioritisation of three focused programmes, each addressing a specific aspect of localisation:

Raw material beneficiation

Facilitate the introduction of localisation investment and develop pipeline of viable new raw material localisation opportunities.

Tier 1 and 2 localisation

Facilitate the introduction of localisation investment and develop pipeline of viable new raw material localisation opportunities.

Buyer-supplier linkages

Link tier 1 and 2 suppliers with localisation opportunities.
